Pixie Parties!
by Sunny29
The temperature might not be as warm as we'd like for this time of year, but magic is in the air! To get ready for AADL's Make-A-Wand Workshop at the Pittsfield branch, stop by the 4th Annual Fairy Festival at the Sunday Artisan Market in Kerrytown. If you need inspiration for your making, be sure to browse our collection featuring these sometimes mischievous, magical, winged creatures.
Story telling isn't just for kids!
by Sunny29
Our wonderful Youth Department works hard every week to create engaging and entertaining storytimes for the little ones, and boy, are they good! But youngsters aren't the only ones who can benefit from a well told story. Anecdotal accounts are paramount in connecting board members to their organization or business, especially in the world of non-profit fundraising. Whether you are a volunteer, staff person, or board member, the AADL has an excellent Non-Profit Resource collection to help you perfect your grant proposal or monthly report.

Make a Flowernote Bouquet with us this afternoon!
by eapearce
Join library staff and elementary-aged kids for a fun flowernote bouquet craft today (Monday, June 16) at Traverwood at 1:00! Children will use flower templates to cut out and fold special flowers that open up to reveal a handwritten note on the inside. Pipe cleaner "stems" and ribbons will also be provided so that the flowers can be constructed into a beautiful bouquet to give to someone special. This program is intended for grades K-5.
