Description

Peter Pullen, Head of School at Eton Academy, the nationally recognized independent school for students with learning challenges, will discuss what dyslexia is and how it feels to be dyslexic.

Attendees will:
• Learn strategies to support their student at home who struggles with reading and comprehension.
• Learn strategies to help support their student with reading and comprehension challenges at school.
• Learn how to partner successfully with their student’s school and teacher

Pete Pullen graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry and holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University.

Pete currently serves as the treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the Independent Schools Association of the Central States, and Head of School at Eton Academy. He has served as a guest speaker for the National Association of Independent Schools, the Independent School Association of Central States, the Association of Independent Michigan Schools, and the Ohio Association of Independent Schools. Pete is a frequent speaker in the community on various topics including learning differences and disabilities, brain ­based learning, and advocacy.
