Thanks for your question kathscot!
I understand that it's a farmers' market -- plus food vendors and entertainment. Quoting from their website: ". . . Every week, in addition to offering fantastic produce and other food vendors, we transform this space into a garden party, complete with historic lawn games, music, storytelling, and educational workshops for children and adults . . .All produce at our market must be grown with organic practices... Questions? contact Jeannine Palms at: jeannine@wetmeadow.org."
Hope that helps!

Most farmer's markets are not also places to buy dinner from Earthen Jar, Hut-K Chaats, Pilar's Tamales, San Street, or Sylvio's Pizza, and also to enjoy a free concert while you have your picnic on the grass. There it is. Also, everything is organic.

Also, the now 8-year-old Souleyman from the Summer Game video (http://play.aadl.org/node/263694) is there all the time, which is cool. Actually, there are several serious Summer Gamers there every week, including Lat/Latitude, Tom, and Yaldah.

How do I know this? Because I've been volunteering at the market every week from the very beginning, in 2012. (Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention, it's also entirely volunteer-run.)

In sum, everything that is great about Ann Arbor is represented in the microcosm of the Cobblestone Farm Market.

We're so lucky.

It has fewer vendors than the Kerrytown farmer's market and has a greater emphasis on community activity. I think it's more about the activities than the shopping. Plus there are goats and chickens there!
