New perspective in the Red's war submitted by alleywater on June 28, 2018, 9:51am In the third book of Aveyard's world, we are invited into the mind of Cameron along with our main character Mare. These two women give us a view of how things are progressing with King Maven on the throne of Norta and how the Red Gaurd is progressing in their hidden plan. I, unfortunately, found a lot of this book repetitive and lacking in depth of character.

meh submitted by Family_Coffman on August 11, 2018, 9:50am the other books were better. I like how it shows you Evangelines thoughts though(THAT GIRL IS AMAZING!!!) Mare was boring though. The ending... spoiler ... IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(tear)

very good submitted by lunamoon on August 21, 2018, 8:58pm very good

King's Cage submitted by c_zhang on June 28, 2019, 2:50pm This book was kind of boring, if I'm being honest. I really lost interest in it halfway through the book. I could barely get through it. The book was kind of repetitive and didn't have any depth. Mare became very boring.

Mediocre submitted by Liana Z on July 30, 2019, 9:23am This book was better than "Glass Sword", but still boring. This series reminds me of "The Hunger Games" with all the rebellion business.

loved it submitted by autumnmist on August 15, 2019, 6:44pm way better than Glass Sword but it had a lot of moments where I just wanted to get it over with.

Third time's a charm! submitted by Gladman on June 19, 2020, 8:53am This book was just as good as the others, however, still a bit slow.

Slow (a get to the next book) submitted by caburr47 on July 17, 2021, 9:32pm As Mer is in the cage it was refreshing to have more than one narrator.
The books was still slow, and it felt more of just a connector book to get you to the next one.
