Oops - accidentally reviewed A Long Way from Chicago submitted by unknown on June 23, 2018, 11:59am I'm reading all Richard Peck's novels, as he recently passed away, and had earned many awards in his lifetime. He has three companion books in this series, and I read them all very recently, accidentally reviewing the Chicago book under the title A Year Down Yonder. All three books are wonderful and I recommend them for young adults. Peck has his finger on the pulse of the American Midwest, and all his books are emotionally satisfying.
Highly Recomend submitted by hduke on June 22, 2019, 12:20pm Grandma Dowel is back with her unconventional, often hilarious, but always full of heart solutions to her granddaughter Mary Alice's problems. Entertaining and enjoyable, well worth a read.
thumbs up submitted by downing on August 6, 2022, 3:42pm gotta love a fearsome woman
