COMMUNITY REVIEWS
A great jewish folktale tranformed into a great picture book submitted by gulickb on May 7, 2015, 9:16am This book is a story about the relationship between a boy, his grandfather and the blanket that was given to the boy from his grandfather. The boy being attached to the blanket refuses to give it up when it becomes damaged and dirty. Instead proclaiming that "Grandpa can fix it". And each time his grandpa by turning it into a variety of different objects such as a vest and a handkerchief. This book heartwarming, it captures the unique relationship that children and grandparents have. More than this though it captures some essence of the Jewish culture through its illustrations and occasionally through the text itself. This is a great book for anyone who wishes their child to see strong Jewish characters and familiary relationships.
