Just so-so submitted by camelsamba on June 21, 2022, 3:48pm I have read many books similar to this over the years. This a animal atlas is pleasing by virtue of size and lovely illustrations. Unfortunately, the overall effect is not so pleasing. The main drawback is that the text reads like a series of disconnected facts - even within paragraphs that you would expect to sound coherent. It’s not a bad book, but neither is it very good.
