useful submitted by camelsamba on June 19, 2012, 2:03pm Unlike _Run Like a Mother_, this book actually has training plans - for 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. In fact, for each distance, they have 2 plans: a "finish it" and an "own it". The writing style is similar to the other book (and probably their web site) - informal and a bit flippant at times. Hard-core runners who are already comfortable with their training regimen might not get anything from this, but everyone else (probably even total beginners) will.

Aside to total beginners: if you want to start running to lose weight, try to get ahold of _Run Your Butt Off_ from Rodale Press - you'll have to request it via MeLCat though, because AADL doesn't own it.
